Why photograph your labor and delivery?
You had a photographer at your wedding, why not have someone there to capture the moments of one of the most important days of your life. Having a photographer there will allow your support person to attend to you and your needs. There are so many details about your labor and delivery that you won’t remember because of the stress of the day. With a slideshow will you be able to cherish those moments for years to come.
My style is from a photo journalistic approach. I will stand back capture the moments as they actually happen. I will never ask you to pose during the labor and delivery process. The images will be in black and white. Once you have decided to have a photographer at the birth, we will set up a consultation to discuss requests, what you would like photographed, and any other questions that you might have. Believe it or not, it is possible to have a great birth slideshow without showing anything you wouldn’t be comfortable with having your Grandmother see!
Cost $700 Your labor and delivery session will include my time and talent and a DVD slideshow of select images from your labor and delivery. The cost will be the same whether I am there 3 hours or 10 hours. Even if you end up having an unplanned C-Section, there are still plenty of great shots to get before and after the surgery. A zip file containing all of the edited images from the slideshow is included. I would be happy to recommend a lab for printing.
I will stay an hour or two after the baby is born to capture moments such as the first weigh in, and first feeding. Half of the total cost will be due at our consultation and the other half will be due on the day of delivery. *** If you decide to have me photograph your labor and delivery you will get $100 off of your newborn session. Newborn sessions must take place within the first 10 days and can take place in my home studio or a lifestyle session in your home. Please contact me if you have any further questions.
If you have a planned C-Section and would like me there to photograph the event, the cost will be $350 since the potential time involved will be considerably less.
